You think I’m kidding, but I’m not. The first zucchini from the garden this summer was pretty nearly as big as my head.
What else was there to do with this giant zucchini, then, but bake homemade half white/half wheat flour zucchini bread?

My step-dad has those monster zucchinis starting to come out of his garden this last week, too. I told him at some point, people who took the first few will run when they see him coming. At that point, we wrap them in receiving blankets, put them in rush baskets, and leave them on people’s doorsteps.
I’m waiting for scratch and sniff computer screens. Looks fantastic.
