 I was thrilled when I found an invitation in my inbox from Abby, the Yelp Community Manager in St. Louis, inviting me to participate in a Blogger’s Roulette during Yelp Eats! week June 21st-27th. The restaurant was cozy, with [...] This morning I ran a 5K race in Festus, Missouri sponsored by an organization called Get Fit Festus. Festus is a town of just under 10,000 people. It’s located roughly an hour south of St. Louis in Jefferson County on Interstate 55. Saturday, June 19th was St. Louis Uncorked, a downtown wine and music festival. It was supported this year by KMOX, KEZK and Y98 FM, but it was organized by a private special events company, which I believe was a wise choice on the part of the radio stations. If you ask mountain bikers where the best trails are in the St. Louis area, nine of out ten of them will tell you to check out Castlewood State Park near Valley Park, just off of Interstate 44 and Highway 141. At the end of a family’s driveway on a stretch of rural highway in Washington County, Missouri is a square white sign that reads, “YOUR FORGIVEN” on one side and “THINK GOD” on the other.
