 Little is more perfectly fall than picking pumpkins together, and Nick and I are both suckers for fall. We decorated our front porch in fall colors, pumpkins and a scarecrow, and we picked pumpkins together as part of a Groupon date at Diane’s Pumpkin Patch in Canon City, Colorado.  Early in Oktober (get it? har har har), Nick and I traveled to a small Colorado town. Said small town is best known for a big hole in the ground near it that you may have heard of — The Royal Gorge. The town is called Canon City, and its population is just over 15,000 [...] Last week was rough for all of us in my office, and this week my fiance leaves for another long training exercise – his last one prior to his Afghanistan deployment early next year. I want to start the new week off with the right mindset, which is why today’s GiST post is an important [...] Let’s face it – The stress of these super-close World Series games is a lot to handle this week. Wouldn’t it feel good to get out on Friday night for some good, hard, live rock music? If I still lived in Missouri, I’d be at Off Broadway on Friday night to see Kentucky Knife Fight.
