 This weekend is the 49th Annual Azalea Festival in a small, southeastern Missouri town called Fredericktown. The Azalea Festival includes fair rides, a 5K fun run, a 1 mile walk, a car show, a sand volleyball tournament, an arts & crafts fair, a parade, and a queen coronation, among plenty of other activities for kids [...] Tom Smugala, editor of Insider573 Magazine, contacted me in November to ask if I’d be interested in having Insider do a story about me, my return to Missouri, and A Small Town Girl’s Guide. Thursday was my last vacation day of the 2010 work year, and I spent the majority of it in Fredericktown, Missouri. After a visit to the family farm where I had a photo shoot for a story in a Missouri magazine about A Small Town Girl’s Guide and my family’s history here in Missouri, I [...] It was an exciting day for horse lovers and Bud lovers alike in small town Missouri. The Budweiser Clydesdales made what we can reasonably assume was their first trip to Farmington, Missouri today for an appearance at, of all places, Buffalo Wild Wings. |
