Having had reason to dress myself today in something other than hiking boots, Columbia pants and a fleece, I set out for St. Louis like a true New Yorker; wearing all black (except for my amazing boots). More specifically, I set out for a meeting in Maryland Heights, followed by several hours at Foundation Grounds [...] The latest St. Louis-area twitter meet-up took place on Tuesday night in O’Fallon, Missouri. A small group of hard core tweeps bundled up for the cool air and fought St. Louis rainy day traffic to walk through the Celebration of Lights. @meghoulihan gave us the VIP walk-through, complete with behind-the-scenes stories about the display. The total tweet-up [...] Last Friday, my friend Josh and I went to the Maplewood Arts Walk, where we had the pleasure of watching a very unique trio of women perform a dance that involved large wooden sticks, jingle bells sewn to their knees, and funny hats. They frolicked through the performance space to live violin, wooden flute, accordion and guitar music, clanking their [...] It’s my personal policy not to get onto my back for any man within the first three minutes that I’ve known him.
